How to erase a rewritable disc
Any rewritable disc — CD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD+RW or BD-RE — can be wiped and reused. cdBurner erases all of them from the browser.
Step by step
Connect the burn agent
Open onlinecdburner.com and connect the burn agent.
Insert the rewritable disc
Put your CD-RW, DVD-RW or BD-RE in the drive and select it.
Open the disc tools
Choose Erase from the disc actions.
Quick or full erase
Quick clears the table of contents in seconds; full wipes every sector. The disc is blank and reusable again.

Why cdBurner is different
cdBurner reinvents disc burning: a clean web app that drives the optical drive on your own machine. Nothing else works this way.
- 100% free — no trial, no watermark, no nag screens.
- Private — files are written locally and never uploaded to a server.
- No bloatware — one small signed helper, not a heavy install.
- Built on Windows' native IMAPI2 engine, so your discs read everywhere.
