    Put a blank CD, DVD or Blu-ray into your writer. cdBurner detects every connected optical drive — select one and it shows the disc type, capacity and supported speeds.

  3. Choose what to burn

    Add individual files, a whole folder, an existing ISO image, or audio tracks for an audio CD. A live capacity gauge tells you instantly whether it fits.

  4. Set your options and burn

Yes. cdBurner is completely free and supported by ads. There is no trial, no watermark and no paid tier — burn as many discs as you like.

Do I have to install anything?

You install one small helper once — the cdBurner burn agent — because web browsers are not allowed to access an optical drive directly. It runs quietly in the background and the website connects to it automatically afterwards.

Are my files uploaded to the internet?

No. The website is only a control panel. The files you choose are sent to the burn agent running on your own computer and written to the disc locally. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Which discs and formats can I burn?

CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW, double-layer DVDs and Blu-ray (BD-R/RE). You can burn data discs from files or folders, write an existing ISO image, or create a standard audio CD from MP3, FLAC or WAV files.

Can I burn an ISO file to a disc?

Yes. Choose “ISO image”, pick your .iso or .img file and burn — cdBurner writes it sector-for-sector so the disc is bootable or readable exactly as intended.

Can I make an audio CD from MP3s?

Yes. Pick “Audio CD” and add your MP3, FLAC or WAV tracks; cdBurner converts them to Red Book audio that plays in any CD player. (Audio conversion requires ffmpeg on the burning PC.)

Does cdBurner work on Mac or Linux?

Not yet. The burn agent currently supports Windows 10 and 11. macOS and Linux support is planned.
