How to burn a movie file to a DVD

Put a movie file on a DVD for storage or PC playback. cdBurner burns it as data from your browser. (For a disc that plays in a set-top DVD player, convert to DVD-Video first.)

Step by step

  1. Connect the burn agent

Open onlinecdburner.com. The first time, install the tiny one-time helper so the page can reach your drive — after that it just works.

  2. Insert a blank disc and pick your drive

Put a blank disc in your writer and select it. cdBurner shows the disc type and free space.

  3. Add your movie file

Click Files or Folder and choose your movie file. A live gauge shows whether it fits.

  4. Set options and burn

Pick a write speed, keep Finalize on for maximum compatibility, then click Burn disc.

Why cdBurner is different

cdBurner is the only disc burner that runs entirely in your web browser — there is genuinely nothing else like it online.
